Medical Services walks the Marsden March!
On Sunday 13th March, a team of brave Marchers from Falck Medical Services set out to complete the 14 mile course between the Royal Marsden sites in Chelsea and Sutton.
Alongside 6,000 other Marchers including Superheroes, Wombles and families and friends of Royal Marsden patients. Our team completed the course in a very respectable 5 ½ hours, crossing the finish line together as a team to receive their medals. In the end we raised just over £2,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. We also provided a team of support vehicles for the March to drive the events team around the course, allowing the March to run smoothly as well as to reunite lost children and help those who couldn’t quite finish the course.
Joanne Bell, Community Fundraising Events Manager at the Royal Marsden in Sutton, said “The Marsden March 2016 has raised a staggering £1,505,000. The March couldn’t take place without companies like you. Your donation enables us to ensure every penny raised goes to benefit the 50,000 patients who attend the hospital every year. Your support is truly appreciated and we could not hold this event without you.”
Well done to everyone who took part and a big thank you everyone who sponsored them!
