Patient Transport Staff

Our PTS ambulance car drivers and ambulance crews are responsible for the safety and care of disabled, elderly and vulnerable people to and from outpatient clinics, day care centres, and routine hospital admissions.

  • You will need to safety lift and move some patients in and out of the vehicle.
  • Making sure that the patients you are transporting are safe and comfortable during the journey and that they arrive on time for their appointment.
  • Responsible for keeping the vehicle clinically clean and tidy, and keeping an accurate record of journeys undertaken.
  • You may cover a particular area and you may be required to work shifts.

We provide training in resuscitation techniques in the event a patient is taken ill whilst in your care.
