In the Community
The Patients Association
We are active corporate members of The Patients Association, the independent national healthcare charity founded nearly 50 years ago to help any patient in the United Kingdom.
Our two organisations share a mutual commitment to ensuring that patients are treated professionally and with dignity and respect throughout their whole hospital experience.
Headway House, East London
Medical Services provides a specialised patient transport service for Headway House, East London, the charity for people with ABI (acquired brain injury).
Each day our ambulances transport Headway members to and from weekly leisure activities, workshops and counseling sessions
Born in 1997 from scratch, the charity covers a catchment area of thirteen London Boroughs and its doors are open 5 days a week to 170 members; it also provides family and carer support, a younger person’s network, outreach, a volunteering programme, counseling, physiotherapy, and complementary therapy.
